I fixed the script that does it automatically.

In a long time ago, I need to do that too. I've exported actual RRD to XML
(rrdtool dump filename.rrd >filename.xml) and then, I've created this RRD
again with the new DS and import the XML file to RRD (rrdtool restore
filename.xml filename.rrd). I only remember that, I don't now if exists
another procedure betwen this process :-)
