[rrd-users] rrd update

hi,

is there a more simpler way to set the time when doing updates .. I want first to make some tests manually before i put these things in scripts..
The problem is that I have to find the seconds passed from 1970 year.!! What I want to do is f.e :

rrdtool create file.rrd --starttime 15:00 ......

and then

rrdtool update file.rrd 15:05:10
rrdtool update file.rrd 15:10:10
rrdtool update file.rrd 15:15:10
.....etc..

i.e. to be able to specift time in update more easly..
any idea..tia
