The width of my image is 500 wide by 300 tall. When I create the exact same
graph on Solaris (using the exact same script), the week numbers are printed
correctly.
I've been able to reproduce this issue on multiple windows OS's (XP-pro,
W2K-pro, NT4.0, and W2003-server).

This occured to me when I made the graphics too small. Are You using
width-option?
