[rrd-users] script to add RRA to existing RRD?

I'd like to find a script that will help me add an RRA to existing RRD
files. Specifically, I'm trying to add a two-hour monthly RRA to and RRD
that already has daily, weekly, and monthly RRAs.

I spent some time looking over the list archives, and the only script I
could find is this one, which is three years old:

I was hoping that someone might have written a newer script that uses the
dump/restore XML format.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations on filling up the newly-created
RRA with data from the yearly one?
