Hello, I just subscribed to the list..
I tried to do some break-down bandwidth graphs for a year worth of
traffic data. When I tried to graph it it only contained the last 48
hours (even when I tried using the "year" rrd database).
The data is imported using a perl script that runs "tcpstat" and
"rrdtool update", and is reported (imported/updated) on a per-second
interval (was the easiest way to get good timestamps out of the pcap
files). The "counter" is reseted between each timestamp (ie: tcpstat
tells you how much bandwidth that has been used for that particular
second).
Anyway, my "rrdtool create" is apparently wrong and stores the wrong
amount of data, and I wonder if anyone can give me an example how to
create a rrd database that stores:
48 hours / 5 minute averages
14 days / 30 minute averages
30 days / 1 hour averages
90 days / 3 hour averages
365 days / 1 day averages
Sorry to be so "please do this for me", but I've tried to do it myself
and failed miserable and I need to get it done in less then 8 hours, and
the import part takes a very long time to do (got a lot of data to
import).
Your help is really appreciated.
Best regards
