[rrd-users] Are they kilo, mega or giga?

Hi, sorry for English, but I don't know!  
When doing an rrdfetch, what type is the returned data? 
how I can make in order to know if data is kilo, mega o giga?
PLEASE, HELP ME --- TANKYOU
