Yes, it should.

The trick here is that you MUST have a variable in the CDEF, even
if you're not going to use its values.

Apart from the data, RRDtool also uses the data-resolution.  When you
do "value,POP", you loose the data but keep the data-resolution.

You want an answer?  You'd better follow the following guidelines!
Linesize well below 80 chars. Reply to the list, not to me. Trim
irrelevant lines. Reply _below_ the relevant lines, not on top.
