Using RRDtool 1.2.0 -> 1.2.8, accentued characters work as expected, but
with RRDtool 1.2.9, all strings containing accentued characters (like
"é", "à") are replaced by "Enc-Er".
Downgrading to RRDtool 1.2.8 fixes it.

System is Gentoo Linux x86, and my locales are :

$ locale
LANG=fr_FR
LC_CTYPE="fr_FR"
LC_NUMERIC="fr_FR"
LC_TIME="fr_FR"
LC_COLLATE="fr_FR"
LC_MONETARY="fr_FR"
LC_MESSAGES="fr_FR"

LC_ADDRESS="fr_FR"
