[rrd-users] interpolation algo?

Does anyone have handy a detailed description of, or the name of the data interpolation algorithm in rrdtool?

Maybe a name that I could look up in a textbook?

Took a quick look for a "rrdtool_interpolation_algo.c" file, but it wasn't there :)
