Hi!
I have known and admired mrtg/rrdtool forever, but this is the first
time I use it.
We'll keep detailed usage history in it without aggregation.
I could not help notice how huge the archive files are, even when
empty or containing highly reduntant information.
I could not find any support within rrdtool to compress the database.
Does anyone here have any experience trying to keep the file size
lower losslessly?
How does RRDtool behave on a compressed filesystem in Linux for example?
Thanks:
Gabor Szokoli
