DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf this font file was downloaded and kept in the
fonts DIR of windows.. still this problem persists and RRD gives back
same error "failed to load
/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf".
Can anyone suggest a way forward.

Firstly, a point of netiqette :

It is bad form to start a new thread by replying to an existing
message. There are two reasons for this.

a) Your question has nothing to do with guage and therefore does not
belong in a thread about problems using guage values.

b) Even if you change the subject, there are hidden details in the
message that are used by programs to build threads - the result is
that when looking at a thread in the archives, there will suddenly be
a random change of subject.

Now, to your problem. What steps have you taken to try and help
yourself first ?

You say that you get an error "failed to load
"/usr/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf", have you looked
to see if this file exists or not ? What was the result ?

If the file isn't there, then you have the answer - the font is
missing, and the solution should be fairly obvious.

If it IS there, then say so, and then perhaps someone could suggest
where to go in troubleshooting why it didn't load.

Are you using the latest version or some other version ? If it's an
old version, have you tried updating it ?
