[rrd-users] how does the autoscaler work (algorithm)

Hi all,

where can I find information about the algorithm of the autoscaler?
How does it work? I assume it looks for the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM values
first and uses the peak values as a base for another calculation.

Can somebody point me to a good source of information?
And if this is the source code, where? Which file?
