[rrd-users] reuse of CDEF var for use in loops

Hi,
is there a possibility of reusing CDEF Var in loop.
I would like to calculate summaries of  DS from multiple RRD's in PHP. 
Should below CDEF line be valid ?  
 
for ( $x ...
   CDEF:sum=sum,ds$x,+
