But...

[root at mrtg cgi-bin]# /usr/local/bin/smokeping
### fping seems to report in 1 miliseconds

/usr/local/smokeping/lib/Smokeping.pm line 1311.
ERROR: I Quit! Another copy of /usr/local/bin/smokeping () seems to be
running.
       Check /usr/local/smokeping/var/smokeping.pid

Even if I null out /usr/local/smokeping/var/smokeping.pid I get the same
message.  There is no instance of smokeping running...
