You can set it up without speedycgi and test it and then install and test
speedycgi, you'll see a remarkable difference.  There's quite a delay
between accessing the url and actual data coming up, but you can toggle
between the two to see for yourself.

Hi,
   I am a new user of smokeping so i want to know if it's really important
to download speedy cgi?
Also please guide me with the basic configuration that is required to run
smokeping
I am using kernel version-2.4.20-8
