Dear smokeping community,
Maybe you guys could tell me if this is a bug or not. And/or if it has been
fixed in a later release.
1. Configure
----------------------------------------------------------------
I am running Debian testing (squeeze), and I have apt-get installed
smokeping.
I had problems with getting the charts to show. At first I got the tiny
overview charts, but not the larger detailed one.
After going RavingRabbit on my system I found out that:
This works
--------------------------------
Config, Targets file:
--------------------------------
++ googlecouk
menu = google.co.uk
title = google.co.uk
host = google.co.uk
--------------------------------
This does not work
--------------------------------
++ google.co.uk
menu = google.co.uk
title = google.co.uk
host = google.co.uk
--------------------------------
2. Timer
----------------------------------------------------------------
I use the EchoPingHttp probe as well, and I get these errors sometimes.
Mar 3 01:37:36 pwwrpad smokeping[9285]: EchoPingHttp:
www.thewebsite.comtimeout (6 s) reached, killing the probe.
Is there a way to increase the timer?
3. Debian package, testing(squeeze)
----------------------------------------------------------------
And rrdtools did not get installed when I did the apt-get install smokeping.
I also had to go into the smokeping.cgi and set the lib pointer to rrdtools
up manually.
On purpose?
Anyways thanks for the good software!
Cheers,
TSLura
