[smokeping-users] Issues with Alerts

I think all your pattern is says is if one time it is less than 25 and the next time it is greater that 40 sent and alert.  Need to define a better pattern

Good Morning All,

I am new to smoke ping and are trying to get alerts running. >From a email perspective it all appears to be functioning correctly.

I have sent a test email and seems to be fine.

We are only using the "fping" probe and my alarm config looks like this;


+rttdetect
type = rtt
# in milliseconds
pattern = <25,>40
comment = Latency reached unacceptable levels for VoIP


All I am after is to be sent an email if the latency changes from below 24ms to above 40ms. Does this look correct or do I have the syntax wrong?

Please help is possible,
