[smokeping-users] FastCGI / Master-/Slave-Systeme

[Sorrell, Al]

If your config file which lists all of your targets is in /etc/smokeping and your binaries including smokeping_cgi are in /opt/smokeping/bin, then you should probably have:

#!/bin/sh
exec /opt/smokeping/bin/smokeping_cgi /etc/smokeping/config

Sorry, but I havn't got many known about linux systems.
I have Smokeping data in

/etc/smokeping/

there you can find these data:

folder - config.d
tmail
smokemail
secret.conf
config
basepage.html
apache2.conf

In the folder config.d you can find these data:

Tagets
Slaves
Probes
Presentation
Pathnames
General
Database
Alerts

But I also have data in /opt/smokeping:
Here are the folders:

bin
etc
htdocs
lib
share
thirdparty

I think that my config it under /etc/smokeping/ because there I config my files.

Is that correct?
If that's right, can you tell me how I have to change the path in the smokeping.fcgi file?

Probably a silly question, but...
Is your SmokePing installation in the stated location - i.e., /opt/smokeping ?
/opt/smokeping/bin/smokeping_cgi /opt/smokeping/etc/config
If not, you need to change the file to point to where your installation is located...
Since my SmokePing is in /export/appl/smokeping, my smokeping.fcgi looks like this:

$ more smokeping.fcgi
#!/bin/sh
exec /export/appl/smokeping/bin/smokeping_cgi /export/appl/smokeping/etc/config
