[smokeping-users] permission issue on file.slave_cache

Struggling with what is probably a permission issue.

never got an answer but states my case.

 

Apache2/error.log says:

smokeping.cgi [client 192.168.1.46]: Could not lock
/var/lib/smokeping//Local/LocalMachine.debiantest.slave_cache (Permission
denied)

My slave (also in local network) is reporting all data is being sent OK as
well as receiving new config.

The // is not real nice but can't figure out where it originates - and Linux
ignores it?

 

I tried touching the file and setting smokeping:www-data permissions but it
then just disappears!

root at debian:/var/lib/smokeping/Local# ls -ual

total 5848
