[smokeping-users] SmokePing Master/Slave Configuration

To bee honest, I tackled this by just recreating everything from scratch. I had different old BSD’s together different versions version of smokeping.
Reinstalling a system that is just build for one purpose (smokeping ) is easy. Giving you back a clean slate.
In theory upgrading should be easy though. In BSD pkg upgrade should be enough. But before invoking that… Do you have a backup? ☺

That is perfectly possible with one major possible issue.
Smokeping versions should be the same between master and slaves to avoid bizar issues.
Make sure you get to that stage first before starting this conversion.

Not much detail is given about the master/slave config on the SmokePing website.

I have a couple of independent SmokePing servers that all monitor different networks.

I would like to centralise all their graphs to one web interface.
