[smokeping-users] Can't seem to find how to monitor DSL lines with dynamic IP assignemnt

I remember that smokeping was - back in the days - designed to monitor
DSL lines with dynamic IP assigment.

Tobi had some mechanism that could RELIABLY detect if the machine
answering the probes was actually the machine behind the DSL line. But
i can't seem to find this anymore. How is it doen?
