I believe (note word selection--"I know" rejected as silly) that the
first line is the most recent readings from the "device".

In other words, I _think_ the top line of mumble.old less the top line of
mumble.log yields (after arithemtic calculation involving averages, smoothing,
and so forth) the second line of mumble.log.


And the implicit hazards of messing with the top line are minimal--at worst
causing an ugly bump in the graphs.
