[mrtg] Re: problem with solaris boxes

For one thing, Sun's SNMP implementation is wonky, if you are using the
oob snmpd.   For example, there is no ifOutOctets.   You can measure
ifInOctets, but sun, for whatever reason, did not choose to include
ifOutOctets.  Sun also reports the ifspeed wrong.  Like they only have one
option or something. from snmpwalk:
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifSpeed.1 = Gauge: 10000000

That's a 100mbit full duplex ethernet connection.  from dmesg:
SUNW,hme0: 100 Mbps full-duplex Link Up

So you can't rely on the sun implementation of SNMP to give you correct
information.   You need to build your config file with what you *know* to
be correct, or you need to just monitor the switch port.
