[mrtg] frequency

I plan on using MRTG for monitoring the # FTP users on my public PPC 
Linux mirror.  I'm wondering, just how often should I have MRTG run? 
Right now its going every 5 minutes but I feel that its missing a lot 
of the traffic that way.  Would it hurt to run every 2 minutes or 
every minute?  Anyone have any opinions?
