[mrtg] Combining statistics

I hope I'm not asking a question that has been asked before, but I'm new
to mrtg, and I was wondering if there was a good way to combine
statistics for multiple ports on a switch?  The purpose is determining
what kinds of bandwidth specific services we provide are using.
