[mrtg] why my mrtg could not draw the Input/Output exceed 56Mbps

i use mrtg-2.7.2 to monitor the link traffic, it works ok, but i find a
strange thing recently, when the input/output rate increased  to 56Mbps
, the graph  line droped, and the current in/out is not the right
values, i can confirm it is not the router's problem, so i want to know
how can i deal with it .
