Is 260 the snmp port or the snmp trap port? You might have only half of the
equation in your reuest, ie sending your request on 260 and expecting a
response on 162 instead of a checkpoint version of this or the other way
around.

Subject: [mrtg] Firewall monitoring....
Hello mrtg world! I am requesting any and all information regarding
the
possibility of monitoring Checkpoint firewalls. These firewalls are
running SNMP on port 260, and I have made the necessary changes to
MRTG for
it to poll the information, however, I am receveing NULL values from
the
OIDs I am using. One might believe that the OIDs are incorrect, but
these
same OIDs are being used by Trend and Netview. Those two mentioned
monitoring tools receive information back, my MRTG machine only gets
NULL
values. If anyone out there has done this, with MRTG, could you
please
point me in the right direction.
Thanks so much in advance...
