[mrtg] Blank graphs

I am in my third day of using MRTG and have exhausted all resources to
find out what is going wrong.
None of my graphs are showing any data.  I was told I could use MRTG
just on an IP and not use SNMP, but I am starting to think I was
shnookered.   I know mrtg is running and the graphs are being created
becuase the /var/log/messages file shows the job running and the
timestamps on the graphs are every 5 minutes.
Anybody have any ideas?
Attached is my mrtg.cfg file.
