I know I am probably doing somehting wrong and feel really stupid, but I am
having fits with this. It is monitoring the Ethernet ports on this device
without a problem, but when I try to monitor the CPU, I get the following.
www:/usr/local/mrtg# ./mrtg 208.189.209.1-cpu.cfg
SNMP Error:
Received SNMP response with error code
error status: noSuchName
index 1 (OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.57.0)
SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "208.189.209.1" [208.189.209.1].161
community: "XXXXXXXXXX"
request ID: 1639117102
PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes
timeout: 2s
retries: 5
backoff: 1)
SNMPGET Problem for 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.57.0 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0 sysUptime
sysName on XXXXXXXXXXXX at 208.189.209.1
SNMPGET: Failed to reach target:
"1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.57.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0:XXXXXXXXXXXX at 208.189.209.1".
I tried multiple times! XXXXXXXXXXX at 208.189.209.1
Can anyone assist me with this problem. Am I supposed to be loading a
specific OID somewhere? If I am, and this will show how clueless I really
am, how do I load the OID and where should the file be stored.... I know I
am probably becoming a nucence, but I am really frustrated, and would like
to get this operational. Thanks in advance. Oh by the way, this is a Cisco
PIX Firewall that I am monitoring. Like I said, I can monitor the ethernet
ports without a problem, and I can use the same thing on a standard Cisco
Router, and still can not get it to work.
