I found something, looks cheap, made to connect to a UPS via Serial (or so
it says)   It does not specifically say that it can be connected to a
computer via serial, but interesting to find out from the company (maybe
with a little social engineering, I doubt they would want to sell the unit
without selling you a UPS to go with it.)
