I currently have 38 Include commands, it allows me to control my scripts a
lot better. With my limited VB knowledge I have created a 'MRTG Daemon',
this is a program that executes the 'perl.exe mrtg mainscript.cfg' command
every 5 minutes, this allows me to add new scripts or change any included
scripts without having to stop the process.
To all Windows users:
When the program executes the perl command, you don't see the MSDOS box on
the screen, you only see the icon on the taskbar :-)
Also has a visible timer so you know when the next update is due to be run,
If you interested, drop me a mail.
I have a main script called "Mainscript.cfg" and with in that I have my
global commands then all my include commands.
eg
Options[_]: unknaszero, bits
WithPeak[_]: y
Unscaled[_]: dwmy
Kilo[_]: 1024
WorkDir: e:\
IconDir: ./
