Under "freeMem" in OLD-CISCO-MEMORY-MIB, it says "NOTE WELL: this mib
object is obsolete as of IOS release 11.1. IOS release 11.1 introduced the
CISCO-MEMORY-POOL-MIB which better instruments all of the memory pools".
Have you looked there?

>From CISCO-MEMORY-POOL-MIB:
bufferSmHit (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.18)	Contains the number of small buffer
hits.
bufferMdHit (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.26)	Contains the number of medium buffer
hits.
bufferBgHit (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.34)	Contains the number of big buffer
hits.
...etc, plus a whole bunch of other interesting stuff. Is this what
you're looking for?

I compared the numbers available for this on 3 of my routers running the
same IOS as yours and compared it to the router cli...pretty dern close.

HTH.
