Under "freeMem" in OLD-CISCO-MEMORY-MIB, it says "NOTE WELL: this mib
object is obsolete as of IOS release 11.1. IOS release 11.1 introduced the
CISCO-MEMORY-POOL-MIB which better instruments all of the memory pools".
Have you looked there?

bufferSmHit (	Contains the number of small buffer
bufferMdHit (	Contains the number of medium buffer
bufferBgHit (	Contains the number of big buffer
...etc, plus a whole bunch of other interesting stuff. Is this what
you're looking for?

I compared the numbers available for this on 3 of my routers running the
same IOS as yours and compared it to the router cli...pretty dern close.
