[mrtg] MaxBytes

I'm sure this has been asked before (obviously I'm an MRTG newbie).  I searched
the archives and the FAQ.  Please pardon my ignorance.

I want to use an OID for MaxBytes.  I put:

MaxBytes[mem1-07]: .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.3.0:public at ftwnt:

but I get

2001-04-27 15:11:31 -- ERROR: CFG Error in "maxbytes[mem1-07]", line 139: .1.3.6
.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.3.0:public at ftwnt: must be a Number bigger th
an 0

Also, how would I add 2 OID's together & put that value in maxbytes?
