Thanks for this tip. This does explain why it always fires.  Still it does
not pass the variable to the script.  The script is written in Korn shell.
I have tried capturing the variables using $1, $2 and $3 (and just trying to
print the total number of variables.  I also wrote the script to read input
line by line until the input was blank.  Using either method I can not
capture this information.  I have noticed it creates a blank file in the
threshold directory.

Any hints on this would be extremely helpful.
