[mrtg] quick question

I know I have this somewhere, but I cannot seem to locate it when I need it 
of course :)

I need to do some comparisons, specifically CPU load vs. output on an ether 
interface on a linux box.

What I need to know is how I get the OID for output on the ether interface. 
When I run cfgmaker I get
2:string at server.net, how do extract the OID for ouput on this? Please point 
me to any manuals/readmes
I may be missing......
