Hello Steve,
This has to do with the way the data is routed. It is in fact switched using
MLS (Multi Layer Switching). Only call setup is seen and nothing more. We're
still looking for a convenient way to view VLAN traffic instead of adding
all individual ports. Especially when broadcast traffic appears there will
be a big difference between the actual VLAN traffic and the calculated
traffic.
Regards,
Karel van der Velden

I'm trying to monitor VLAN's on a cisco 6509, config maker recognises the
'interfaces' I do have to change the speed from 0 though. When I run mrtg I
don't get any errors but I don't get any data either?!?
### Interface 5 >> Descr: 'VLAN 1' | Name: 'VLAN-1' | Ip: '' | Eth:
'00-d0-06-f7-14-00' ###
Target[10.25.4.9_VLAN-1]: #VLAN-1:community at x.x.x.x:::::2
SetEnv[10.25.4.9_VLAN-1]: MRTG_INT_IP="" MRTG_INT_DESCR="VLAN 1"
MaxBytes[10.25.4.9_VLAN-1]: 12500000
Title[10.25.4.9_VLAN-1]: Traffic Analysis for VLAN-1 -- Council_House_6500
PageTop[10.25.4.9_VLAN-1]:
Traffic Analysis for VLAN-1 --
Council_House_6500

Any ideas? I have tried using SNMPv2 but to no avail.
Thanks
Steve Godfrey
