If you go to a command line and do a ping to something, does it give
you the ping statistics? Like:

Pinging 172.16.24.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 172.16.24.1: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=253
Reply from 172.16.24.1: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=253
Reply from 172.16.24.1: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=253
Reply from 172.16.24.1: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=253

Ping statistics for 172.16.24.1:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 20ms, Maximum =  30ms, Average =  25ms

If not, get the ping.exe from a Win2k station and replace yours.
Pingprobe needs the statistics to do the graph and NT 4.0's ping.exe
does not report that.

Subject: [mrtg] mrtg-ping-probe

I'm trying to setup mrtg-ping-probe to monitor the response times of
Cisco
routers.

The .html, .png and .log files are being created ok but the graphs
show 0
(zero) response times.

I'm getting the following error message...

************
mrtg-ping-probe.pl: ERROR: Could not find ping summary for 10.10.10.1
mrtg-ping-probe.pl: INFO: The output of the ping command ping -l 56
- -n 10
10.10.10.1 was:

Pinging 10.10.10.1 with 56 bytes of data:

OS details:
NT v4 SP6a
MRTG-Ping-Probe v2_0_2
MRTG v2.9.4
Perl v5.6.0.623

The "news" file for ping-probe reads...

************
2001-01-21	Release_2_0_2
	* bugfix: failed to match ping summary on certain platforms
(e.g. Linux) which included a mdev value.
************

Any help would be appreciated.
