If you use rrdtool together with mrtg (logformat: rrdtool) you can set
the interval to 1 minute. If you don't use rrdtool and you're sure that
one mrtg run needs less than 1 minute you can change the file
"MRTG_lib.pm" around line 625

   "if ($$cfg{interval} < 5) {"

The 5 is the minumum for the number of minutes.
