[mrtg] OTP: Perl help

I need to ask a quick question.  Do any of you perl scripters out ther know how to reset a form after a search?  I'm trying to clear out an html form after I run a search, but I can't get the defaults() parameter to work.  Any help is appreciated...(this is MRTG related...just not directly, you'll see...)
