[mrtg] rrd naming?

Hi All,
I am using mrtg with rrd to monitor my routers. Initally I named them by their
ip number because most of them have no dns entry. I am in the process of
naming them and would like to get the names into mrtg. Is there any way short
of starting over again to rename the databases. I looked at the db and the name
appears to not only be in the filename but also in the db it self.

Any help appreciated,
