[mrtg] Re: Monitoring Lan Cards on Servers

Hello All,

I have been lurking on this list for a while. I am trying to learn enough
about MRTG to unleash it on our switch to monitor and log totals for in/out
traffic on our LAN based on IP.

So far I have concluded I do not know enough on the subject of SNMP, MIB's
etc?

Before I begin to ask dumb questions, can anyone point to a beginners
resource for this sort of stuff? Book, website, step through tutorials?

Any help appreciated.
