[mrtg] Re: From log file numbers to graph numbers

Even after having studied the FAQ I was directed to I still have this
open issue:

How does MRTG calculate the weekly, montly and yearly averages that
appear in the MRTG graphs? I would like to use the values from the MRTG
log files and calculate the average values in Excel but so far I haven't
figured out the math that is applied the the numbers in the log file to
get the same averages as MRTG.

Any help available?
