[mrtg] Confused by MRTG!

Hi,

I'm a very inexperienced user of MRTG, and I just need a couple of pointers.
I have a server in our local hosting centre, and I wanted to monitor the
bandwidth usage of their pipe.

I've set up MRTG on the server and it seems to be working fine.  The
readings are (green)In and (blue)Out.  Am I correct in thinking that Green
is therefore requests made to the router (i.e. requests for web pages) and
that Blue is the pages being sent back across the net?

Please can anybody clarify this for me.
