I'm starting to branch out a bit more with MRTG. Graphing things like
errors per second and so on. From what I've gathered the "[]" is
nothing more than a label. I made a mistake once where I had mistyped
my value between the []. After a trial run It complained certain items
were not specified or defined.
FYI... the following link talks about the Target [asdf] parameter
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/reference.html
Under "target" it says this
> Each monitoring target must be identified by a unique name. This
> name must be appended to each parameter belonging to the same
> target. The name will also be used for naming the
> generated webpages, logfiles and images for this target.
> Target
Not as clear as I'd like but it works ;-)
