Yes. We'll probably migrate to RRD within the year, but our progress is
hampered by the fact that we have to migrate all historical MRTG data into
RRD files that collect and store data at different speeds and for

Well, I think the separate MRTG backup collector already proves that the
data collected isn't the problem (and the logfile looks fine). I can't
migrate just a portion of data to RRD since our traffic map software is
based on top of MRTG (that can be fixed, but will take more time). I'm not
in a position where I can do the migration, but I can try an older version
of MRTG to see if that fixes it.
