[mrtg] Adtran Atlas 890 CSU polling

Has anyone had any success in polling 

interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInOctets.N
or
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutOctets.N

on an Adtran Atlas 890 CSU? I've got two of these in
production, passing traffic, but the counters are always
zero.

I suspect that the counters are just broken but am 
wondering if anyone else has come up with a different
way to monitoring circuits that run through this device.
