[mrtg] MRTG-FreeBSD

need help, I have installed the following 
mrtg-2.9.25, net-snmp-5.0.6 from the ports
via  make all install clean, but tell now dont know 
how to get started with mrtg to monitor my LAN
any help in this issue
i am running 
unix# uname -a
FreeBSD unix.mydomain.com 4.7-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE
