from an snmp standpoint of view, servers and routers are alike ...
snmp has a simple security mechanism where it uses a shared secret
to protect devices (community) . By thefault this community is set
to the word 'public' ... so if you leave it off (together with the
@) then cfgmaker will try to use public .... if it does not work,
you have to ask the person who has configured the router of the
snmp service on the server you are looking at
