There is a setting in the routers2.conf file that will let you define "working hours". Once you set this, it will give a working day average at the bottom of the graph. It will also hightlight these hours in yellow.

Hi again friends
I switched successfully to rrd-tool. I am using routers2.cgi to visualize the pages, and want the average of bandwidth only for 14 hours a day, it mean from 06h00 to 20h00. Anyone can help me ??? How can I do that??? I want to do this because the traffic in the night is 0 and this affect the total average of the bandwidth used.

Thanks a lot.

Manfred,

I Am afraid this will not work: Even when MRTG doesn't poll every 5 minutes the averages you get are stil computed over the full 24 hours. IMO the only way to achieve the monitoring of a specific timeslot is by switching to rrd-tool.

Dear José

Just use the scheduler of W2k.

- Start Time = 06:00
- Interval = 5 Minutes
- Duration = 14 hours

Hth, kind regards and good luck

Manfred

Hi, I have installed mrtg-2.9.25 on widows 2000 server monitoring more than 50 routers IBM-2210. All is fine, but I want to run mrtg only by 14 hours for day, or make the average only for this period, because between 20h00 and 06h00 the traffic is 0 and I dont want a average for this hours, I want the average only from 6h00 to 20h00. Can I do that??? Best regards jacc
