You should have no problems running MRTG and running out of memory on a
system with those specification. Therefore I think it is safe to assume
that there is a problem with that system's hardware, software, or drivers.
If I were you, I would run diags on the system and verify that all your
ram is up to par. Also make sure the BIOS settings are optimal. Scan
for viruses. Defrag the hard drive. Patch the OS.
After that and there's still a problem, I'd format the hard drive and
start from scratch with a fresh Win2k CD.
